Request for Proposals, March 2012
The Vermont Permaculture Council stewards
the use of funds which were raised by hosting the 2009 North Eastern
Permaculture Convergence (NEPC). It is our intention that the funds be
used for the purposes of education, local infrastructure, and
networking. We are accepting proposals through the end of March for
projects which enrich the Vermont communities that hosted the 2009 NEPC
(Central Vermont, the NorthEast Kingdom, Burlington Area and Green
Mountains), embody permaculture ethics and principles, and enrich a
culture of permaculture in the northeastern bioregion.
Proposals should include at least:
1) a brief narrative of the project detailing both goals and deliverables,
2) information about the size and makeup of the community the project directly impacts,
3) a budget,
4) amount requested from our seed fund,
5) amount requested from our revolving loan fund,
6) contact information.
As we have a modest amount of money to give from, we are especially interested in funding projects which are designed to regenerate funds. It is our hope that this funding source may grow and help seed permaculture projects in our communities for years to come. Please consider making a donation back to the fund if your project is successful and profitable.
Average amount of money granted per project in the fall 2010 round was $550.
Proposals should be submitted to [email protected] by March 31st 2012.
